Dr. Scott Brown
Scott Brown was raised in Central Florida with a desire to pursue dentistry from an early age. Prior to attending dental school at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston (’13), he received his BS from the University of Florida (’04), MS from Florida State University (’06), and worked at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg as a Clinical Dietitian.
Upon completion of his dental degree, he was called to active duty in the US Army. His first duty station at Ft. Benning, GA provided the opportunity to be honor graduate of his one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency and earn his jump wings (Airborne!). Dr. Brown then changed duty stations to Schofield Barracks, HI where he was able to complete his Advanced Clinical Practice requisites, attain his Expert Field Medical Badge, and be the Brigade Dental Surgeon for the 25 ID’s 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team for three years (Tropic Lightning!). During his time on active duty, Dr. Brown was able to gain additional medical training and work side-by-side with dental specialists from all areas to further build a solid, well-rounded foundation of the dental profession.
While stationed in Hawaii, Dr. Brown married the love of his life, Lauren, whom he met while working in St. Petersburg. They were also fortunate enough to welcome their son, Caleb, to this world while living on Oahu prior to separating from active duty and returning home to Bartow. Dr. Brown looks forward to joining his father’s practice and serving those patients in need here in Central Florida.
